Butchertown as the name might suggest was a old meat packing district within the city of Louisville, with houses dating back to the 1820. A number of these houses remain, many of them well cared for by current residents. Particular spots of interest are Washington St, and Story Ave, the latter of which was part of the old Louisville and Lexington Turnpike.
