Wildfire smoke from Canada impacts the skies above the Ohio River near Louisville, Kentucky and Jeffersonville, Indiana, leading to a wonderful orange sunset. Taken from the Big Four Bridge, the 2nd Street, Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy Bridges can be seen in the distance, along with the Belle of Louisville, a historic paddle wheel riverboat.
The Lewis and Clark Bridge crosses the Ohio River between Louisville, Kentucky, and Utica, Indiana after sunset. The fading sunlight, and lights on the bridge illuminate the bridge structure and the water beneath it.
Built in 1878 by the Wrought Iron Bridge Company of Canton Ohio. The Bridge was part of the Old US Highway 50, and is now a pedestrian walking bridge, refurbished in 2009 after a long period of neglect.
