Winter Solstice Fireworks – Fairbanks, Alaska

As result it experiences long, cold winters with a maximum amount of daylight on the winter solstice of 3 hours and 30 minutes. And despite the cold weather, winter is the best time of year for fireworks in Alaska because during the summer there is a tremendous amount of daylight, so much so, that people often put black out curtains on their windows to help them sleep at night.
