Thompson Springs Thunderstorm and the Book Cliffs in eastern Utah.

The Book Cliffs are a long series of cliffs and escarpments located in eastern Utah and western Colorado, in the United States. They stretch for approximately 200 miles (320 kilometers) from the Uinta Basin in Utah to the Grand Valley in Colorado.

The Book Cliffs get their name from their distinctive appearance, which resembles the pages of a book stacked one on top of the other. The cliffs consist of multiple layers of sedimentary rock, including sandstone, shale, and coal seams, which were formed over millions of years.

The area is known for its natural beauty and diverse wildlife. The cliffs provide habitat for a variety of animal species, including deer, elk, mountain lions, and various bird species. It is also a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers who enjoy activities such as hiking, camping, rock climbing, and off-road vehicle exploration.

Louis Brandeis School of Law - Louisville - Kentucky

The University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law was founded in 1846, and is the fifth oldest law school in the country. The school is named after its largest patron, who was a United Supreme Court associate justice from 1916 to 1939. The law school shares its name with Brandeis University, though the two institutions are not related.

The University of Louisville is a public research university founded in 1798, via a charter by the Kentucky General Assembly. The university moved to its current location, the Belknap campus in 1923, and became a public state university in 1970.

The university is home to the Louisville Cardinals, and includes athletic programs for baseball, football and soccer. As of 2013 the Cardinals have won 50 Big East Championships across all sports.

Old Hay Barn - Cache Valley - Utah

An old hay barn during a a thunderstorm in Utah’s Cache Valley. A large rural mountain valley in northern Utah, the Cache Valley is one of Utah’s top agricultural areas, providing land for cattle, milk and cheese production, and the growing of wheat, barley and hay.  The valley is located between to the Wellsville Mountains to the west and the Bear River Mountains to the east. Both ranges are part of the larger Wasatch Mountain Range that dominates northern Utah.

The Cache Valley gets its name, from the fact that early fur trappers created caches in the valley to protect and hide their goods from thieves.
