Murray, Utah is a city located in Salt Lake County and is part of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. Known as the “Hub of Salt Lake County,” Murray has a rich history and a strong sense of community. The city is named after Eli H. Murray, a governor of the Utah Territory in the late 19th century. This painted horse, called “Modern Iron Horse”, was part of Lexington, Kentucky’s 2022 Horsemania, a public art project that saw the creation of more than 160 painted horses by professional artists, and children from middle and elementary schools. Lexington in Kentucky’s Bluegrass Region bills itself as the Horse Capital of the World, and is world famous for its horse farms, and is the center of thoroughbred horse racing in the United States. Kentucky is also known for the Kentucky Derby, one of three horse races that make up the Triple Crown of Horse Racing. Horse Mania began in June 2022, and concluded after the Breeder’s Cup held in early November at Keeneland, in Lexington.
