Pete Rose Way - Cincinnati Reds Stadium - Ohio

In 1985 the City of Cincinnati renamed the city’s Second Street to Pete Rose Way after the famous baseball player. The road lies just outside of the Cincinnati Red’s stadium, which lies along the Ohio River Waterfront. Pete Rose, despite the gambling scandal that forced his retirement as a baseball manager in 1989, remains a home town hero. He was a Major League Baseball player from 1963 to 1986, playing for the Cincinnati Reds twice, as well as the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Montreal Expos. He would eventually become a manager for the Cincinnati Reds from 1984 until 1989.
