The historic Stovall Cabin, was built in 1873 by Edwin Stovall, and was originally designed a two story structure, but was reconfigured to the present dimensions as a result of deterioration of the original facade. The cabin was originally located in Radcliff. Saunders Springs is located just on the edge of the Fort Knox military base.

This is an example of how historic farm house kitchens looked in the Italian part of Switzerland, between the 1740’s and 1860’s. Its one of several houses brought from Cugnasco, an Italian farming village in the southern canton of Ticino, to the famous open-air Museum Ballenberg, near Interlaken.

A view of a historic hanging flume constructed by the Montrose Placer Mining company in the 1880’s to help miners exploit placer gold deposits in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. The flume was more than 12 miles in length, and was connected to a ditch starting at a dam on the San Miguel River near Uravan, Colorado. While in operation the flume carried more than 80 million gallons of water a day.
