The historic Dewitt Long Home, is the oldest remaining dwelling in Oxford, Township, Ohio. It was constructed by Zachariah Price DeWitt in 1805. Originally from New Jersey, Zachariah settled first in Kentucky near Bardstown, and ultimately made his way, along with his wife (Elizabeth Teets), and seven children to newly available land in what would become Ohio. Zachariah established a sawmill, and built this among a number of other buildings in the area.

The University of Louisville is a public research university founded in 1798, via a charter by the Kentucky General Assembly. The university moved to its current location, the Belknap campus in 1923, and became a public state university in 1970.

The university is home to the Louisville Cardinals, and includes athletic programs for baseball, football and soccer. As of 2013 the Cardinals have won 50 Big East Championships across all sports.

The Story Inn has a long history dating back to 1882. It lies at the center of the town of Story, Indiana, which was founded by farmers trying to make a living from the marginal soils of the hilly area that is Brown County, Indiana. The town and the inn went through various phases of growth and decline, and the surrounding countryside saw much of its original farming population leave and the land they left behind turned into Indiana’s largest state park.
