An electric vehicle (EV) charging station is a facility designed to supply electric energy to recharge the batteries of electric vehicles, such as cars, bikes, and buses. These stations come in different types, depending on the power output, speed of charging, and use cases. The chargers range from low charging which is suitable for overnight, to high speed charging that add as much as 200 miles in range to an EV in as little as 15 minutes.

Grocery store charging stations, or complimentary charging spaces at local businesses or government agencies are a common sight in the US.
