The Alaska Railroad is a passenger and freight railroad that operates in the U.S. state of Alaska. It stretches approximately 500 miles (800 kilometers) from Seward in the south to Fairbanks in the north, passing through Anchorage and several other communities along the way.

The Alaska Railroad offers various scenic train routes that provide breathtaking views of Alaska’s wilderness, including mountains, glaciers, rivers, and forests.

A beautiful mountain cabin located in the Caribou mountains of south east corner of Idaho. When I saw this spot, it reminded me of what someone picture as an idyllic setting for a mountain cabin. It combines the elements of a wild landscape of mountain forests, with perfectly manicured lawns, a beautiful wooden fence, a small fairy-tale cabin. The old-fashioned windmill offers a nice touch as well, and a bow to renewable energy sources.

Fall color along the hiking trail to Strahl Lake. Located in Brown County State Park outside of Nashville, Indiana. The park, which is heavily wooded, is the state’s largest protected natural area, comprising more than 15,000 acres. It was founded in 1929, and was comprised largely of former farm holdings that had been abandoned by settlers because of the area’s relatively poor soils.
