The Colgate-Palmolive Clock is located Clarksville, Indiana, across the Ohio RIver from Lousiville, Kentucky. It’s one of the largest clocks in the world, and has a width of 40 feet. It was originally installed in 1924 the former Colgate factory seen in the picture.

The dam and locks were constructed to allow cargo vessels to safely traverse a large cataract (waterfall) on the Ohio River. The Falls of the Ohio is known for it 390-million-year-old fossil beds, which are among the largest exposed Devonian fossil beds in the world.
