The historic Carew Tower in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Carew building is a 49-story, 574-foot tall Art Deco skyscraper completed in 1930. It was Cincinnati’s tallest building until July 13, 2010, when the Great American Tower across from the Cincinnati Reds stadium was completed. It was added to the register of National Historic Landmarks on April 19, 1994

There is an observation deck on the 49th floor inside the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, that visitors can use to view downtown Cincinnati, the Ohio River, and northern Kentucky.

An Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake, seen the Cedar Bog nature reservoir, north of Cincinnati, Ohio.  This snake goes by a couple of different names, including Swamp Rattler and Black Snapper. It is a highly venmous snake, but smaller than the other two venomous snakes common to Ohio, the Northern Copperhead and the Timber Rattlesnake.  Its is fairly rare, and typically inhabits, wetlands, bogs, and other marshy areas.  In fact its name comes from the Chippewa Indians, and refers to the marshy areas commonly found at the mouth of a river.  Its prey generally includes mice, shrews, voles, lizards, birds, frogs, crayfish and other snakes.

The Great American Tower stands above the stadium of the Cincinnati Reds, in Ohio. The skyscraper was completed in 2011 at a cost of $322 million. It contains more than 800,000 square feet of office space. It is the tallest building in Cincinnati (ending the 81 year rein of the Carew Tower), at 41 stories and 665 feet tall. It is the third tallest in Ohio.
