Cincinnati Music Hall, built in 1878, and designed by architect Samuel Hannaford is considered one of the last and best examples of the Victorian Gothic Revival Style. It is home to the Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Opera, May Festival Chorus, and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The Seal of the University of Cincinnati comes largely from the official insignia of the City of Cincinnati, which was adopted in 1819. The seal includes the scales of justice, a sword and a caduceus, which is the staff carried by Hermes in Greek Mythology, a god also known as Hermes Trismegistus, in Greco-Egyptian mythology. The staff includes two entwined serpents that includes wings. The mottos displayed include “Juncta Juvant” which means strength in unity, and “Alta Petit” seek the highest.

The University of Cincinnati, a public research university, was founded in 1819, and has an annual enrollment of 44,000 students. Its the second largest university in Ohio.

The historic Carew Tower in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Carew building is a 49-story, 574-foot tall Art Deco skyscraper completed in 1930. It was Cincinnati’s tallest building until July 13, 2010, when the Great American Tower across from the Cincinnati Reds stadium was completed. It was added to the register of National Historic Landmarks on April 19, 1994

There is an observation deck on the 49th floor inside the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, that visitors can use to view downtown Cincinnati, the Ohio River, and northern Kentucky.
