Moab Man Petroglyph – Moab – Utah
Moab Man is the name given to describe this petroglyph, a rock art drawing located in southern Utah, on the edge of the town of Moab. The art displays an anthropomorphic being likely carved by the Anasazi or Fremont, two related cultures present in this area during the first millennium A.D. Given there is no equivalent to the “Rosetta Stone” in North American archaeology, what its meaning really was is open to debate. Though many believe rock art is often a depiction of spiritual matters, and day to day life at the time they were created.
