Lichtenstein Castle Windows Wall and Antlers – Germany
Lichtenstein Castle, also known as Schloss Lichtenstein, is a stunning fairy-tale castle located in the Swabian Jura region of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The castle is situated on a cliff near the town of Honau, approximately 30 kilometers (19 miles) south of Stuttgart.
Constructed in a Neo-Gothic style by Duke Wilhelm of Urach between 1840-1842, the castle was inspired by medieval architecture. Its picturesque appearance resembles a romantic castle from storybooks, with towers, turrets, and a dramatic setting. It was built on the ruins of a medieval castle from the 12th century and was intended to serve as a hunting lodge and a romantic refuge rather than a defensive stronghold.
