The historic Dewitt Long Home, is the oldest remaining dwelling in Oxford, Township, Ohio. It was constructed by Zachariah Price DeWitt in 1805. Originally from New Jersey, Zachariah settled first in Kentucky near Bardstown, and ultimately made his way, along with his wife (Elizabeth Teets), and seven children to newly available land in what would become Ohio. Zachariah established a sawmill, and built this among a number of other buildings in the area.
